Published Sep 18, 2012Pop-punks-turned-stadium-rockers Green Day have a trilogy of albums due out in the coming months. Now, the first of those, ¡Uno!, is streaming in full on Rdio ahead of its September 25 release via Reprise.
The albums were recorded with frequent studio collaborator Rob Cavallo, who has worked with Green Day on career highlights like Dookie (1994) and American Idiot (2004). In a statement, the band said, "This is the best music we've ever written."
In other words, these three albums won't be fleshed out with filler, since they claim, "Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels."
Check out the album, which the band promise is "epic as fuck," at Rdio.
This album will be followed by ¡Dos! on November 13 and ¡Tré! on January 15.
