Published Aug 31, 2010Earlier this year, Toronto indie folkers Great Lake Swimmers revealed that their 2009 effort Lost Channels was on the verge of selling out. Rather than simply repress the album, the band announced a deluxe reissue and asked fans what sort of bonus they would want in the release. Today (August 31), the deluxe reissue hits stores and we have the details on all the bonus content.
The Lost Channels deluxe reissue is being called a "vinyl unboxing" set, and includes the album on 180-gram vinyl, as well as a bonus seven-inch with live versions of the songs "Put There By the Land" and "Concrete Heart." The songs were recorded at Trinity St. Paul's in Toronto. The record will also come with a download card including the album, both seven-inch tracks and a third live song from the same show.
Great Lake Swimmers have showcased the fancy reissue in a YouTube video, which is viewable below. In addition to the new release, the band have three Canadian shows coming up this fall. All dates are below.
