Grant Lawrence's Upcoming Book Tour to Include Free Concerts from Jill Barber, Said the Whale
We told you back in June about CBC Radio 3 host and Canuck indie rock icon Grant Lawrence's first foray into the world of literature, Adventures in Solitude. Now, Lawrence is getting ready to launch the book with a live music-enhanced tour, including a special book launch in Vancouver.

The Adventures in Solitude book launch will go down on Thursday, October 7 at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Vancouver. The launch is part of Adult Ed, a series of readings, lectures, talks and performances by Vancouver storytellers and cultural figures. The launch will feature Grant's photographs and films from his time spent in Desolation Sound, BC, which is what his book is about, as well as music from Jill Barber and Said the Whale. And if all that wasn't enough, the event is free, as are all the readings on his tour.

Several of the dates on Lawrence's book tour, which runs through October with a few dates in November and one warm-up reading in September, also feature Jill Barber performing.
