Gorillaz Confirm Andre 3000 and James Murphy as Collaborative Partners for Converse Track
Earlier this week, clues began pointing towards Andre 3000 and Erykah Badu as the collaborative partners featured on Gorillaz' new track for Converse's Three Artists. One Song. series. Now, the details of the team-up have been announced, and it turns out we were half right.

Gorillaz will be releasing their new single alongside Andre 3000 and (drum roll) former LCD Soundsystem leader James Murphy. So evidently that kimono-wearing baboon from the promo picture (above) is Murphy, while the man wearing an "X" mask is indeed Andre, just like the rumours indicated.

As previously suggested, the song will indeed be called "DoYaThing," and it will be released on February 23.

According to the UK's Sun newspaper [via Consequence of Sound], the song recalls some of the material on 2010's Plastic Beach, and features Damon Albarn rapping before Murphy sings the chorus, while Andre offers up some rapping and singing of his own. In addition to the standard single, there's also a 12-minute explicit version that will eventually see the light of day.
