Gorillaz' Christmas Surprise, Rural Alberta Advantage's Sophomore LP and the Bucky Awards Winners Lead This Week's News Roundup
If you're already starting to go through Christmas-shopping burnout, it may be a good idea to rest up and recharge before the next round of mall insanity. While you're at it, have a look-see at Exclaim!'s news roundup, which will get you back up to speed on the week's top stories.

First up, Gorillaz are definitely keeping busy this holiday season. Not only did they start up their own digital advent calendar, but the band revealed that the final gift may in fact be a new album. And it may be their last.

On the Canadian front, we got the scoop on Rural Alberta Advantage's much-anticipated sophomore LP, which the band tell us has them "feeling more confident in what we do," and Kid Koala has one space-out show in the works. Also, Owen Pallett released a selection of mini-scores, while the 2010 Bucky Awards announced its full list of winners.

Then we had Girl Talk getting his own holiday, Nick Cave proving he has a need for speed, the Elephant 6 collective announcing its coming to Toronto and DJ Premier plotting a new Gang Starr release following the death of Guru.

Of course, there's a lot more where all that came from in the Exclaim.ca News section. Stay frosty, guys.
