Gorillaz Announce World Tour, Play Montreal

BY Maddie LeznoffPublished Jul 22, 2010

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's animated musical act Gorillaz will embark on a worldwide tour beginning in Syria later this month. There are only handful of North American dates so far, but luckily for Canada, we at least get one.

The Canadian stop is in Montreal on October 3, so unless you feel like braving the border, this is your best bet for a live taste of the cartoon heroes. However, word is Gorillaz have more live dates up their sleeves, so you may want to hold off booking that plane ticket for a little while.

The tour follows the group's headlining gig at Coachella in April and the release of their acclaimed third album, Plastic Beach, in March via Parlophone/EMI.
