Published Nov 24, 2010It's not that often that you see Daniel Dumile (aka DOOM), on stage these days. Even if you think you're seeing the man on the mic, an infamous series of shows that found the rapper sending out impostors to perform in his trademark mask have soured his rep enough to have you second guess every set.
A November 16 Gorillaz gig in London, England, however, had that outfit's main man Damon Albarn go absolutely bananas after introducing the underground MC to the crowd during "Clint Eastwood," so we think this guest spot is on the level. Walking around stage with a slow-motion swagger, the super villain straight killed it in front of a screaming crowd.
A second appearance at a Gorillaz performance in Paris last night (November 23) had the Cosby sweater-wearing spitter reading rhymes from a book on Demon Days number "November Has Come." It was weird, but considering how seldom DOOM actually steps onstage, we'll gladly take it.
