In the coming weeks, Toronto folk trio the Good Lovelies will be touring in support of their recent album Burn the Plan. What's more, they've just announced plans to wrap up their 2015 campaign with a string of special Christmas shows.
The band will play gigs throughout British Columbia, California and Washington in November and early December. Then, throughout the middle of December, they will embark upon their "Winter's Calling Holiday Tour," which consists of eight shows in Ontario and Quebec.
This trek will coincide with the re-release of an EP called Winter's Calling. Originally issued last year on CD (but currently unavailable online), the EP will be issued digitally on November 13 (with physical copies available at shows). It consists of five tracks: three originals, plus covers of songs by Gordon Lightfoot and Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson. A press release says of the EP, "It's a delicate collection perfectly suited to cold weather contemplation, an antidote to all the jingling and ringing of the season."
