Good Fight

Breathing Room

BY Rod OrchardPublished Jul 1, 2004

The Good Fight are fast and straight to the point hardcore without all of the frills and metal solos that are dominating bands these days. While refreshingly new (but not life-changing), the CD also seems to get past you without changing many gears or going out of its way to grab your attention. With the early hardcore we used to listen to doing the same thing, somehow that style doesn't hold much water some 20 years later. Hardcore bands have evolved to the point where we have expected to be somewhat challenged with more than just three-chord speed and screamo vocals. That being said this album is a good fix for those who like their core fast, stripped down and sans the metal and clean vocals of today's hardcore fad.
