Gone Is Gone Announce 'Echolocation' LP with Animated Album Teaser

Hard rock supergroup Gone Is Gone have revealed plans to put out a full-length follow-up to their recent self-titled EP. Though not much has been explained behind the collection just yet, it will arrive under the title Echolocation.

The band, which features members of Mastodon and At the Drive-In, announced the upcoming collection today (September 29) through an animated album teaser.

Prepped by artist Peter MacAdams, the clip presents cartoony illustrations of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as alien/reptilian candidates, and also critiques bad cops, social media obsession and dick pic culture. This is all scored by a slammed-down piece of music presumably from the new LP.

A release date has yet to be grafted to the release, but Echolocation will be given a North American release sometime in the future via Rise Records/Black Dune Records. An Australian edition will be issued through Cooking Vinyl.

As previously reported, Gone Is Gone combines the talents of At the Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar, Mastodon bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders, Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and multi-instrumentalist Mike Zarin. The quartet made their live debut last April.
