Following the tragic death of Justin Townes Earle this summer, a GoFundMe has been launched to help his widow Jennifer Earle pay off the various medical and legal expenses the songwriter incurred.

The newly launched campaign was set up by Jennifer Earle herself, with the aims of the fundraising effort to help get her and their young daughter back on their feet.

The GoFundMe reads as follows:

On August 20th, 2020, the world lost Justin Townes Earle. We lost our Justin, and far too soon. He is survived by his wife and young daughter. As they navigate this life without him, realities of financial burden for the future are apparent.

Justin incurred legal and medical expenses in the  last few years and he was unable tour in 2020 due to the pandemic, leaving a considerable amount of unsettled debt behind.

There is a separate fund being raised to insure that Etta is able to receive a college education but in the meantime his family needs your help getting back on their feet.

You can contribute to the campaign here.

As previously reported, Justin Townes Earle passed away at the age of 38 from what police referred to as a "probable drug overdose."

Following his death, his father Steve Earle announced plans to record and release an album of songs written by his late son.
