Montreal-bred symphonic post-rock heroes Godspeed You! Black Emperor have got our anticipation reaching its logical crescendo with their imminent live return after a seven-year absence. The collective have already announced that they're curating ATP's Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as a massive world tour, but so far they've only given us one Canadian date in Vancouver on February 16. Now, they're adding to that list with three shows in Toronto.
The back-to-back nights are taking place at Lee's Palace on April 22, April 23 and April 24. The first two performances will be 19-plus while the third will be all ages. Tickets for the shows will be available on Thursday via Ticketmaster and at Rotate This or Soundscapes. They'll only run you $20 plus service charges.
No Montreal shows have been announced as of yet, but there is nearly a full month in between the band's Detroit show and their Toronto appearance, so don't be surprised if an announcement comes soon.
