Justin K. Broadrick's industrial metal project Godflesh released the Decline & Fall EP this week through Avalanche Inc., and the whole thing is now available to stream.
Through just four songs long, the mini-release clocks in at more than 20 minutes. Opener "Ringer" starts the EP off with menacing sludge riffs while slamming rhythms push it to headbanging climaxes. The rest the set is no less menacing, and every track hear relies on a similar palette of detuned madness, sinister vocals and punishing rhythms.
