Published Jul 24, 2010Since no weekend goes without Exclaim!'s trusty news roundup, here we are once again to fill you in on the week's top stories.
First up, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is just around the corner and the hype is reaching a fever pitch. Adding to the pile, Scott Pilgrim author Bryan Lee O'Malley, director Edgar Wright and Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew have taken us behind the music of the wildly anticipated movie. And if that's not enough Pilgrim for you, feast your eyes on the cover of Exclaim!'s upcoming August issue above. Yep, that's Edgar Wright all right.
And speaking of anticipated films and soundtracks, this week we got a new trailer for the upcoming Tron: Legacy, plus samples of six new Daft Punk songs in the film. Thank you Comic-Con!
Meanwhile, we had John Frusciante quitting Swahili Blonde, Deerhunter revealing the first signs of a new concert film, Talib Kweli warring with the critics over his Gucci Mane collaboration, and You Say Party unveiling their return to the stage, as well as a new remix album.
And while this last story may look suspect, sources (whom we obviously trust) have informed Exclaim! that Brian Eno is prepping a new solo album for Warp Records. Make of it what you will.
