Los Angeles electro trio the Glitch Mob followed up their lengthy career of remixes and singles with the release of their debut album Drink the Sea earlier this year. That was then followed by the half-hour mix Drink the Sea Part 2: The Mixtape. Before they move on to some new material, that record has spawned another 24-track release with Drink the Sea: The Remixes Volume 1 & 2.
For their latest release, the Glitch Mob enlisted the help of some of the biggest names in the new school of electronic music to take on their Drink the Sea tracks. This includes Jogger, Eskmo, Salva, Skeet Skeet, DJ Vadim, Machinedrum and Them Jeans, among others. Best of all, all proceeds of the release will benefit the Haiti relief effort.
Drink the Sea: The Remixes Volume 1 & 2 will be available as a digital download on January 12, the one-year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti. The album will be available in exchange for a $10 donation to the Download to Donate charity.
