Glen Hansard to Release 'A Season on the Line' EP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 7, 2016

While Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard issued his Didn't He Ramble LP last fall, it did not feature the song of the same name. To hear the studio recording of that track, you'll have to pick up his forthcoming EP, A Season on the Line.

The collection drops February 19 through Anti-. A Season on the Line contains both "Didn't He Ramble" and "Way Back in the Way Back When," a pair of previously unrecorded songs Hansard had been playing on his fall tour behind his latest album. Those two songs were finally laid to tape during a day off at Chicago's Electrical Audio Studios with Hansard's current backup band.

A pair of leftover tracks from the Didn't He Ramble sessions ("Let Me In" and "Return") fill out the release. You can hear "Didn't He Ramble" down below.

Hansard heads back out on the road to promote both Didn't He Ramble and companion EP A Season on the Line next month, with a series of dates booked across Europe. You'll find the tour info here.

A Season on the Line:

1. Didn't He Ramble
2. Way Back in the Way Back When
3. Let Me In
