Glen Hansard Books North American Tour, Hits Up Toronto, Vancouver

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 4, 2012

Glen Hansard has already made a name for himself a member of the Swell Season and the Frames, and now the sensitive Irish songwriter is making the inevitable solo leap with his debut album, Rhythm and Repose, which come out June 19 through via Plateau/Anti-. Following a series of already-revealed European dates, Hansard has now announced he will be taking the album around North America as well.

During the trek, Hansard will be logging up some frequent flyer miles by hopping back and forth between Europe and North America. In addition to a few U.S. legs, his schedule includes two Canadian shows: Toronto on September 16 and Vancouver on October 2.

As you may remember, Hansard will also be touring the U.S. with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder to make up for the trek that was cancelled this spring due to Vedder's back injury.

See Hansard's full schedule below, and scroll past that to preview a couple of tracks from Rhythm and Repose.
