Girl Talk and Freeway Detail Collaborative 'Broken Ankles' EP

Back in the fall, mashup master Girl Talk announced plans to team up with Philly rapper Freeway on an EP called Broken Ankles. Now, they've shared the release details for that short-player, which will come out on April 8 as a free download through DatPiff.

A press release describes this collaboration as a "continuously flowing collection of bangers," with a style that finds Girl Talk's Gregg Gillis adapting his sample-splicing approach to slightly more traditional song structures.

Gillis said in a statement, "It's always important to me to have an album that works as a whole; something that has a calculated flow to it, which is intended to be listened to front to back."

The songs were written after Gillis took a break from the road and amassed over 70 beats.

The six-song collection includes guest appearances from Waka Flocka Flame, Young Chris and Jadakiss. A 15-second video teaser for the Waka-featuring "Tolerated" is below.

2. Tolerated (ft. Waka Flocka Flame)
