Giorgio Moroder to Score New Crime Thriller 'Tomboy, a Revenger's Tale'

Just last month, Giorgio Moroder released his soundtrack to the TRON RUN/r videogame, but already the disco/mustache king has signed on for his next scoring project.

As Film Music Reporter points out, Moroder and frequent collaborator Raney Shockne have been hired on to soundtrack the upcoming crime thriller Tomboy, a Revenger's Tale.

The movie comes at the hands of director Walter Hill (48 Hrs., The Warriors, Last Man Standing, Red Heat), and it will star Michelle Rodriguez, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Shalhoub, Anthony LaPaglia and Caitlin Gerard.

According to IMDB, the film involves the following:

Following an ace assassin who is double crossed by gangsters and falls into the hands of rogue surgeon known as the Doctor who turns him into a woman. The hitman now a hitwoman sets out for revenge, aided by a nurse named Johnnie who also has secrets.

Saïd Ben Saïd is producing the project with Michael Merkt, and distribution will be handled by Saban Films. As of yet, no firm release date has been revealed, but Tomboy, a Revenger's Tale is expected to arrive in 2017.

Moroder and Shockne collaborated together on both the recently released TRON RUN/r and the upcoming USA drama Queen of the South.
