Giorgio Moroder Collaborating with Lady Gaga on Her New LP

Synth legend Giorgio Moroder is preparing to release a new solo album, but he's already lined up another new project. This time, he will be collaborating with Lady Gaga on her upcoming record.

It seems that Moroder still isn't quite clear what the collaboration will entail. The producer told Popjustice, "I was supposed to be in the studio with her a week ago, but I got a cold. I'll see her when I'm back. I have about five or six tracks, just basic ideas. Drums, keyboard, bass. I'm going to be surprised, I think — I don't have a clue about the way she's recording. Will she play the piano? Will I?"

It's not entirely clear whether Gaga will have Moroder on board for the entire new album — as she did with her recent Tony Bennett team-up, Cheek to Cheek — or if he's going to be one of a number of collaborators.

Moroder explained, "This is for her new album – that's the intention. I was hoping that maybe I can convince her to have one of the songs for my album. If I could convince her, well that would be incredible."

This isn't the first time Gaga and Moroder have worked together. The disco legend remixed her Tony Bennett duet "I Can't Give You Anything but Love," and Moroder noted, "I did two versions and she took the more traditional of the two." Hear that below.

Stay tuned for the fruits of this collaboration. Until then, Moroder's new album is expected out this spring through RCA.
