While Montreal's own Georgia Gleason cut her teeth with indie rockers Sweat, recently she's been making dreamy jangle pop with flecks of soul and psychedelia under the moniker ggpeach. Playing to a slowly growing crowd, her POP Montreal set felt like a coming-out party for the vocalist.

Gleason's confident voice led each track, while her three-piece backing band was also tight (special mention goes to the keyboardist, whose jazzy solos never failed to liven up the room). The Melt EP — the project's sole release to date — possesses the intimacy of a tight space, but live, the band adeptly filled the room, never once feeling out of their depth.
