Get Your Picture on the Cover of the New Fucked Up Single!

At this point, it's safe to say that Toronto, ON's Fucked Up have earned an audience far greater than that of their hardcore peers. And if you're part of that audience, you may want to listen up: the Polaris Music Prize-winning group are offering one lucky fan the chance to appear on the front cover of a new exclusive seven-inch.

The band's label, Matador, has announced a contest in which the winner will have his or her photo pasted into the band picture on the front cover of the new seven-inch for "Couple Tracks" (see above). The single, which is the title track off the band's new compilation, will then be shipped to the winner's door.

To win this prize, all you have to do is take a photo of all of your Fucked Up singles and email it to CoupleTracksContest@gmail.com. While this can be as simple as lining up the singles in your bedroom, the label indicated that it would look favourably upon creative entries, suggesting that fans take inspiration from Extreme Ironing.

While the primary goal of the picture is to display singles, contestants are also encouraged to show off their Fucked Up fandom in other ways: "shirts, LPs, tattoos, children named Damian, etc." And while a large collection of singles is a major factor, it's not a requirement, since "a generally epic photo is also helpful."

If the band's fans are half as crazy as lead singer Damian Abraham, this should attract some outrageous entries. Let the photo madness begin.
