Published Feb 05, 2013Smell that? It's another fresh batch of album reviews, fresh from our critics' oven. It's a big batch, but we've saved the freshest ones for you, below. First up are legendary shoegazers My Bloody Valentine, whose long-awaited return to recorded music, m b v, dropped over the weekend. Check our review to see if the wait was worth it. Meanwhile, Canuck fave Hayden earned an Exclaim! Mark of Excellence warming us with his reflective Us Alone.
Thao & the Get Down Stay Down's We the Common is an immaculately soothing collaboration of pop, folk and country, which was also awarded a Mark of Excellence. Ron Sexsmith collected a bright red exclamation mark for his intimate lyrics and gentle humility on Forever Endeavour as well.
Finally, Dobie gets into jazzy-techno interfusion with his new full-length, We Will Not Harm You, which you can listen to while you read our review.
