Get Over Hump Day with The Hurt Locker, Glee and More in This Week's DVD Review Round-Up

Get Over Hump Day with The Hurt Locker, Glee and More in This Week's DVD Review Round-Up
With another workweek half over comes Exclaim!'s Recently Reviewed DVD round-up.

Without a doubt, your best bet this week is The Hurt Locker, the adrenaline-infused war tale that takes place during the war in Iraq, circa now. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker comes Exclaim! recommended, and highly Exclaim! recommend at that.

Next on this week's list is Julia, a dramatic look into the downward-heading life of an alcoholic ex-waitress. But if you're looking for something a little less explosive, why not take in '70s environmental horror thriller, Kingdom of the Spiders? At the very least, this one's got William Shatner and tarantulas.

Chuck: The Complete Second Season was released on DVD and reviewed this week. The show is based on the life of a nerdy electronics store employee who's got a brain full of government secrets. Also out is Damages: The Complete Second Season, the crime-drama series starring Ted Danson and Glenn Close.

And lastly, if this week's trend of downward descent doesn't interest you, try Glee - Season 1, Volume 1: Road to Sectionals.Well, that is if you can handle the abundance of jubilant musical medleys.
