Published Oct 17, 2011This week, as always, Exclaim.ca has gathered the best new album streams, tracks and music videos in our Click Hear section. Here are just a few of the highlights.
First up, Toronto's Sandro Perri is back with a new album entitled Impossible Spaces, which you can stream at Exclaim.ca before it hits shelves on Tuesday (October 18). The genre-bending musician evokes sounds ranging from folk to jazz to psychedelic rock and beyond, making the new album a fascinating listen.
Then we have Vancouver-based pop rockers In Medias Res, who released a visually complex video for "Hollis," the second single from this year's It Was Warm and Sunny When We First Set Out.
As for new electronic music, you can check out the radio rip of Major Lazer's track "Original Don." While fans are still going to have to wait until early 2012 for Diplo and Switch's collaborative project to put out a follow-up to 2009's Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do, "Original Don" should make the wait a little easier. DJ Steve Aoki also dropped a new track this week with "Earthquakey People (The Sequel)." The anthemic party track features Weezer's Rivers Cuomo over pounding synths, and there's even a making-of video you can check out.
Odd Future's foul-mouthed poster boy Tyler, the Creator recently released a video for "Bitch Suck Dick," which as you can probably imagine isn't for the easily offended. Ripping on workout shows, Baywatch and Hell's Kitchen, the video sees Tyler, Jasper Dolphin and Taco starring in their own TV spots as they deliver their verses.
Finally, as U2 prep for the 20th anniversary of Achtung Baby next month, Q Magazine has assembled a tribute, featuring an awesome cover of "Love Is Blindness" from Jack White.
Watch and listen to these highlights and plenty more over in our Click Hear section.
