Published Jul 23, 2012As usual, last week saw Exclaim!'s Click Hear section overrun with a variety of new tracks, videos and album streams. Now, you can check out our picks of the best new media from the past seven days, starting off with a sampling of some highlights below.
First off, BC songwriter Joshua Hyslop released the video for "What Have I Done?" which is the latest track from his album Where the Mountain Meets the Valley. Hyslop teams up with vocalist Anna Scouten for the song and video clip.
Meanwhile, the hype around electronically minded indie pop duo Purity Ring's first album, Shrines, has reached a fever pitch -- and you can check out a full stream of the record leading up to its release tomorrow (July 24).
In other streaming music, you can take a listen to the newest track from the upcoming Stars full-length North, called "Hold on When You Get Love and Let Go When You Give It," along with the new five-song EP from Vancouver-based hip-hop artist Shad (available as a free download), entitled Melancholy and the Infinite Shadness.
And last up, the clip for Jack White's "Freedom at 21," off his recent solo outing Blunderbuss, features Hype Williams directing and a high-octane car chase, while Swedish hardcore outfit Refused made their long-overdue television debut on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
