Gay

"Chrysotile" (video)

Here's an album title that's sure to conjure up some fond memories for Canadians in their 20s and 30s: Dance Mix 95. That's the title of Toronto band Gay's upcoming debut album, and they just shared a video for the song "Chrysotile."

The song is a quirky, tropical-tinged indie-pop tune that swells to a horn-assisted crescendo. The Aaron Kopff-directed clip, meanwhile, begins with the band standing atop a large grassy hill and rolling down the entire thing. Their slow-motion descent lasts for most of the five-minute clip, and the dudes end up looking sore and disheveled when they make their way back up to the top.

Dance Mix 95 — Gay's album, not the MuchMusic compilation — will be out on July 12 through Pleasence Records.
