Gary War and Taylor Richardson Join Forces as Human Teenager for Spectrum Spools LP

Brooklyn-based weirdoes Gary War and Taylor Richardson have each drawn their own share of attention for individual projects, and they also work together on the Fixed Identity label. Rather leave it at that, however, the duo have also emerged under the name Human Teenager.

This spring, Human Teenager will release Animal Husbandry, their debut full-length and the first release for the so-far-flawless Spectrum Spools imprint.

The label calls Animal Husbandry an "instant classic," adding seemingly hyperbolic statements like "it would be impossible to plaster genre descriptors onto an album with such enormous scope. Terms like 'synth-pop,' 'rock and roll,' 'punk,' et cetera, can all be applied on a surface level, but at the end of the day it's none of and all of these things at the same time, more or less."

Whether or not Animal Husbandry can come anywhere near that hype will be seen when the album drops on March 27. The record can be pre-ordered here, while album track "Whites (In General)" can be downloaded here.

Animal Husbandry:

1. "Fourth Reich"
2. "Mainly Adult"
3. "Permanent Skin"
4. "Locate Yourself"
5. "Whites (In General)"
6. "Special Victim Units"
7. "Line Between The Blue"
8. "Lost At The Filth"
