Gary Numan Rumoured to Be Performing Three Classic Albums at Toronto Residency

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 30, 2015

Toronto fans of Gary Numan will be pleased to learn that the cult new wave legend has planned a three-night stint this spring.

The shows will take place on May 23, 24 and 25 at the Opera House. They're part of a tour that Numan is booking where he'll play a different classic album in full each night.

The Toronto dates were confirmed by promoter Viva Events, who have already shared a Facebook page for the three consecutive shows.

Numan himself hasn't shared the dates yet, but he does have similar events planned in New York and Chicago. Assuming it follows the same structure, the Toronto stand will see him perform Replicas on the first night, followed by The Pleasure Principle and Telekon on the following nights.

Stay tuned for more information on Gary Numan's tour as it becomes available.

UPDATE (01/06, 12 p.m.): In a Facebook post (available below), Numan explained that these shows have not yet been confirmed. While he is working on some Toronto dates, it appears that Viva Events jumped the gun in announcing the events.

UPDATE (02/09, 1 p.m.): Now Gary Numan has confirmed that the dates will indeed take place in Toronto on May 23, 24 and 25. You can get more info here.

I'm told that some Classic Album shows have been announced for Toronto in May. That's not true I'm afraid, no Toronto shows confirmed as yet, regardless of what you might read elsewhere. Working on it though.
