Garth Brooks Adds Regina Show Thanks to Saskatchewan Premier

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 11, 2019

Garth Brooks has added a second show in Regina — all because of the Saskatchewan premier.

Brooks was initially scheduled to perform in the capital city on August 10, and the show sold out in under an hour. Premier Scott Moe congratulated Brooks on the accomplishment.

Shortly afterwards, Brooks announced a second date in Regina, reportedly thanks to Moe's enthusiasm. He will now also perform on August 9 at the Mosaic Stadium.

Brooks himself even retweeted the premier.

As a thank you for adding the second show, Moe promised the country superstar a customized Roughriders jersey — which is ready and waiting for his arrival.

Tickets for the August 9 show go on sale this Friday (June 14) at 10 a.m. local time.
