Following a reunion in fall 2010, Garbage announced back in October that they were still working on their new album, but that the end was in sight. Now, true to their word, the alt-rockers have detailed their first album since 2005. Entitled Not Your Kind of People, it's due out on May 15 via the band's own Stunvolume label.

In a video teaser, drummer Butch Vig said, "It sounds, vibe-wise, like the first two Garbage records, even though it doesn't sonically sound like those records."

Guitarist Duke Erikson concurred, saying, "It has the same kind of adventurism that we took with the first stuff."

Vig added that the new material might be a little more upbeat that some of the band's past work, and he explained, "In Shirley's lyrics, there's anger and there's intensity, but there's also optimism and hope."
