Gallows Gearing Up for "Unapologetic Hardcore Punk" EP with Wade MacNeil

Excited about the fact that Alexisonfire's Wade MacNeil has joined Gallows as the English hardcore act's new vocalist? Then you're going to want to pick up the band's forthcoming EP when it arrives in the coming weeks, most likely before the end of the year.

The exact release plans are unclear, but drummer Lee Barratt opened up during a Twitter chat through Alternative Press and wrote, "It's looking like the new EP will be out in about a month's time." It was recorded with Joby Ford (of L.A. punks the Bronx) and the band currently don't have a label.

So what do the new tunes sound like? According to Barratt, "All the new songs are under 3 minutes. Fast, unapologetic hardcore punk!" The EP is apparently a "full-on face melter."

This doesn't come as too much of a surprise, given that the band's debut track, "True Colours," is just under 40 seconds long. There's no word as to whether that song will pop up on the EP, but you can listen to it at the bottom of the page.

MacNeil joined Gallows back in the summer following the departure of prior frontman Frank Carter. The news came hot on the heels of Alexisonfire's breakup, which explains how MacNeil had the time to join a new band.

Gallows are currently on tour in the U.S., so check out the dates over at Facebook.
