Published Sep 24, 2014There's no denying the talent of classically trained avant-garde chanteuse Gabrielle Herbst (a.k.a. GABI). After years spent studying clarinet and piano, as well as Balinese dance while in Indonesia, the former Bard College grad further made a name for herself in 2014 when she premiered her first commissioned opera, Bodiless. Now, she's stepping into the realm of modern music videos with her first single for Software, "Koo Koo."
Coming across as a minimalist answer to Michel Gondry's classic Kylie Minogue video "Come into My World," watch as the hypnotic singer multiplies before your eyes, as cloned versions of herself take their place in every corner of the single shot video.
You can watch the video and accompanying vocal-heavy track in the player below. If you happen to be in Brooklyn next month, don't forget to catch the vocalist at Baby's All Right on October 2 for a special one-off performance.
