Future Bible Heroes Roll Out North American Tour Behind 'Partygoing'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 8, 2013

As previously reported, Stephin Merritt is stepping away from the Magnetic Fields for a bit to revive Future Bible Heroes, who will both issue a new LP called Partygoing and a back catalogue-scouring collection on June 4 via Merge. Now, the act have announced they'll, well, get the party going across North America this summer on a quick tour.

Sadly, Merritt himself will not be on the tour, with the live lineup of Future Bible Heroes consisting of Claudia Gonson, Shirley Simms, Christopher Ewen and Anthony Kaczynski. They'll play Brooklyn's Chickfactor festival in June, but officially get their trip underway in July. The tour kicks off in California and pretty well sticks to the south side of the U.S./Canada border, but the band have booked a lone up-north appearance at Toronto's Lee's Palace on July 22. You can see the entire itinerary down below.

Partygoing reportedly "features the signature Future Bible Heroes mix of dancefloor-filling club anthems and super-sad ballads." You can stream first single "Living, Loving, Partygoing" down below.

Meanwhile, a four-CD set titled Memories of Love, Eternal Youth and Partygoing arrives the same day as Partygoing and includes that album, 1997's Memories of Love, 2002's Eternal Youth and a disc of EP tracks and compilation cuts.
