Published Nov 17, 2011Earlier this month, the not-breaking-up hardcore band Fucked Up performed their entire epic rock opera David Come to Life in New York City. Now, Torontonians have had their punk prayers answered with the announcement of a Toronto performance.
On the Fucked Up blog, the band revealed that they've been too busy to pursue the charitable records and events that they normally like to do around this time of year. As such, they've decided to throw a series of benefit shows in Toronto this December.
While there are more details still to be announced, including opening acts, after-parties and more shows, so far we know that Fucked Up will play David Comes to Life in full on December 20 at the Great Hall, where they'll be joined by PS I Love You. Then, on December 21, Sloan will headline a show with Ohbijou and Bonjay at the same venue.
The first show led by Fucked Up is a benefit for Barrier Lake Solidarity, while the Sloan concert is a benefit for Counterfit. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
