Fucked Up Plan Toronto Benefit Show for Aleppo Evacuees

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 16, 2016

Fucked Up will play a special show this holiday season to raise awareness and money for families that have been evacuated from eastern Aleppo in Syria.

The gig will take place at Toronto's Silver Dollar on December 29, and Fucked Up will be joined on the bill by Fake Palms, Triage and Pedestrian.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Karam Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting families that have been evacuated from eastern Aleppo in the wake of the devastation wrought by the Syrian civil war.

As of earlier this week, it was estimated that more than 100,000 people (and 20,000 families) will be evacuated to the Idlib province in the country's northern region. The foundation works with local NGOs to provide emergency aid (including food, shelter and heat) to those affected.

Tickets for the Toronto benefit how will cost $15, and are currently available online over here. Physical tickets will be made available at local record stores Rotate This and Soundscapes as of December 19.
