Arguably our third favourite "fuck" band, Bristol, England-based soundscape duo Fuck Buttons really upped the ante with 2009's Tarot Sport. A remarkable step up from their 2008 debut, Street Horrrsing, we called the album "a rip tide of rolling psychedelia, euphoric trance and cosmic profundity." Still riding high from its release, Fuck Buttons have announced a hefty world tour.
The run of dates begins with a busy spring. Take, for example, the month of May, which alone will see them hit Europe, North America and Europe again. Somewhere in the middle of it all, they'll find themselves traveling to Canada for shows in Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto and Montreal.
On top of their hectic travel schedules, Fuck Buttons will drop a single for the Tarot Sport stand out "Olympians." In addition to the original track, the release will include remixes from Suicide's Alan Vega and Spiritualized's J. Spacemen. As if that weren't enough, the twelve-inch vinyl of the release will come in five different covers (to represent Olympic rings), each of which depict a Magic Eye-styled hidden image.
The single will be released on April 12 by ATP Recordings, and can be pre-ordered here.
