Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber has been on the path to a meltdown lately, and he's been a tabloid fixture thanks to shenanigans like egging, peeing in buckets, and being filmed in bed by a woman who may or may not be a prostitute. Now, the shit has really hit the fan, since the Biebs has been arrested and is facing charges of drunk driving, drag racing and resisting arrest.
The 19-year-old was in Miami, driving a yellow Lamborghini. TMZ reports that his crew blocked off a street to allow him to race against a red Ferrari, allegedly driven by R&B singer Khalil. He was said to be driving around 100 km/h in an area with a 50 km/h limit.
When police arrived, Bieber apparently failed a sobriety test on the scene and admitted to drinking beer, smoking marijuana and taking prescription medicine. Making matters worse, he had an invalid driver's licence. According to the police form, he had a "stupor look" on his face. However, Bieber's blood-alcohol levels weren't released.
Reports suggest that Bieber initially refused to comply with a pat-down, and he swore at the officer who stopped him. Apparently, he said to police, "What the fuck did I do, why did you stop me?" before saying, "I ain't got no fucking weapons. Why do you have to search me? What the fuck is this about?"
This resulted in his charge of resisting arrest without violence, although he was cooperative once he reached the station. That's his mugshot above.
Bieber was taken into custody after 4 a.m. EST this morning (January 23). He was held at a local police station and has been taken to a jail operated by Miami-Dade County Corrections.
