Last week, we learned that Vancouver would be celebrating its 125th birthday with a free three-day festival in Stanley Park. Well, West Coast music fans in search of free summer concerts will need to take out their calendars once again: on July 23, Vancouver will play host to Khatsahlano!, a free street party featuring a slew of buzz-worthy B.C. acts.

There will be five music stages located between Burrard Street and MacDonald on West 4th Ave. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., these stages will play host to acts such as Frog Eyes, Louise Burns, Yukon Blonde, Aidan Knight, Jon and Roy, No Gold, Sun Wizard, B-Lines, Slam Dunk, David Vertesi, the Shilohs, Rich Hope, Defektors, Hot Panda, Mode Moderne, the Evaporators, Veda Hille and more.

The music is curated by the city's Zulu Records, which explains how the party managed to score so many killer acts. According to a Facebook event, the festivities will also include "sidewalk sales, patio parties, Kitsilano's largest garage sale and lots of cool things all day long."
