The Fresh & Onlys Announce New Album, Book West Coast Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 12, 2012

Since the release of the Fresh & Onlys' 2011 EP Secret Walls, frontman Tim Cohen has turned his attention to his solo-project-turned-band Magic Trick. Now, the busy songwriter has once again reconvened with his Fresh & Onlys buddies for the new album Long Slow Dance, which will be out September 4 through Mexican Summer.

A press release notes that this new full-length finds the band sound "joyous, confident -- almost dangerous," and it appears that this album was recorded by Phil Manley (Trans Am, Oneida, Jonas Reinhardt).

Bassist/co-founder Shayde Sartin said in a statement, "We spent more time recording this than we had on records in the past. Phil Manley certainly had a good influence on us in the studio; he's very meticulous with the kind of sound he's trying to get for each song, and the record definitely has its own vibe."

The first single is called "Yes or No" and it came out today (June 12). Stream the upbeat track below and, if you want a copy for your iPod, buy it from iTunes.

Also, you can see the band's upcoming West Coast tour schedule below. There's one Canadian date lined up, with Fresh & Onlys playing Vancouver on September 15.
