Following a bit of online teasing over Instagram, French Montana used today's (July 16) episode of OVO Sound Radio to unveil his new single with Drake, "No Shopping."
The song will appear on Montana's forthcoming MC4 LP, but was aired roughly a month ahead of the record's August 19 due date via Bad Boy Entertainment/Epic Records. Featuring production work from Noah "40" Shebib and Murda Beatz, it first finds French Montana delivering a drank-sippin' hook about not buying fur. Don't get it twisted, though: this isn't an altruistic cry for animal rights. The message is rather to skip out on picking up "rings and tings" for your significants.
What follows are the marquee artists' bars referencing one-time Pistons rebounder Ben Wallace and his recent purchase of Selena Gomez's Calabasas mansion. Elsewhere, he shouts out the Bad Boy team and a chilled bottle of Ciroc.
Drake starts off with a few mumbled lines, but soon hypes himself up to deliver bars about his non-stop grind, crossover success in the pop world, and still pledging allegiance to Lil Wayne and Birdman.
You'll find a radio rip of the OVO premiere down below.
"No Shopping" follows the recent stream of MC4 number "Lockjaw" with Kodak Black. Montana and Drake had previously connected on 2012's "Pop That."
