Toronto hip-hop heads Tona, Adam Bomb, Frankie Payne, Theo3 and Progress have teamed up as Freedom Writers, and now they've shared a pre-release called Soon in the lead-up to their full-length Now album.
Soon is available to stream in full on Bandcamp, and can be purchased for $3. It contains nine tracks, although only six of these are proper full-length songs, since there's an intro of sampled voices plus a pair of bite-sized skits: the cop-baiting "Pigs" and activist-oriented "Politics."
Limited-edition CDs of Now, due out October 10, will be available when the band play at Manifesto Festival on September 22 at Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square.
