Freddie Gibbs and Madlib Detail Their 'Piñata' LP, Share Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis Collab

Following a few collaborative EPs and singles, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib's long in-the-works Piñata full-length is finally set to be released March 18 through producer Madlib's own Madlib Invazion imprint. The collaborative project comes in the wake of last fall's Deeper EP, and as previously announced will find the twosome also teaming up with Raekwon, Scarface, Mac Miller, Ab-Soul, Danny Brown, BJ the Chicago Kid and more.

Ahead of the street date, you can check out the smooth, '70s soul-sampling "Robes," which finds Gibbs passing the mic to Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis. You can stream the song in the player down below.

Though a full tracklisting has yet to appear, a statement from Gibbs has the rapper describing the 17-song set as "a gangster Blaxploitation film on wax," with his bars weighing in on experiences from the "violent, drug-laden streets" of his native Gary, IN. This apparently includes "textbook lessons in robbing and drugging" on tracks "Scarface" and "Knicks," while he is said to get a bit more personal on "Broken," which interestingly enough has a guest verse from Geto Boys' Scarface.

"I will show you my flaws, I'll show you what I've done wrong and what I've fucked up at," Gibbs admitted. "I don't regret shit, but I'll show you the things I'm not proud of."

Gibbs and Madlib are set to play a handful of North American shows together in March. None of them take place in Canada, but you can see the schedule down below.
