Freddie Gibbs Accuses Logic of Stealing Album Art Concept

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 30, 2017

Tonight at midnight, Freddie Gibbs will return with a brand new EP called You Only Live 2wice. This week, rapper Logic announced a new album called Everybody. While those two releases seem barely linked, Gibbs has pointed out some uncanny similarities in the rollout of their artwork.

Both releases feature historic-looking paintings on their respective covers. They're not quite similar enough on their own to warrant ripoff accusations, but the videos promoting them are undeniably similar.

When Logic announced the album, he shared its cover in a rather epic video that showcased the artwork hanging in a gallery. The clip was undeniably similar to Gibbs' art reveal.

In an Instagram post, Gibbs wrote, "Dear @logic301 I hope you purchase my album on Friday due to the fact that you just blatantly jocked my shit. Blessings."

Watch both album art videos and decide if it's a ripoff for yourself.
