For rap fans who are getting impatient for Freddie Gibbs' upcoming Shadow of a Doubt mixtape, he has just shared a couple of tracks ahead of its November 20 release on ESGN.
"Packages" was produced by 808 Mafia's Tarentino. Featuring ManMan Savage, it's a threatening track with booming bass tones and creepy piano tinkles. Adding to the dark tone, the first verse begins with the lines, "I keep a pistol on me / I got robbers and jackers and killers on me."
"Extradite," on the other hand, was produced by Mikhail and features Black Thought of the Roots. It's an interestingly nuanced cut, with an arrangement that shifts between mellow sweetness and spooky atmospherics, while the lyrics touch on inner city life and the imagined death of the devil.
