Fans of Glaswegian popsters Franz Ferdinand have been anticipating the band's follow-up to 2009's Tonight for over three years now, but the wait just got a bit easier when the band debuted four new songs over the weekend.
Making their first live appearance in 18 months, the Scottish lads used their comeback show in Limerick, Ireland to debut a number of new tracks. According to the fan footage taken at the concert, the new tunes are titled "Right Thoughts," "Brief Encounters," "Fresh Strawberries" and "Trees & Animals."
If that wasn't enough Franz Ferdinand for you, the group also paid tribute to the late Donna Summer at the same show, covering "I Feel Love."
No word yet on when the next album from Franz Ferdinand will be arriving, but the four-piece will be heading out on the festival circuit this summer, including an appearance at Montreal's Osheaga.
