Frank Ocean's 'Channel Orange' to Hit iTunes Tonight

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jul 10, 2012

Frank Ocean's Def Jam debut Channel Orange has quickly become one of the most anticipated summer releases, thanks in no small part to the quality of early leaks like "Sweet Life." Thankfully, the wait is almost over, as Ocean has decided to release the album on iTunes tonight (July 9) at midnight.

Before we get into the semantics of what date it is at midnight, let's just say that he's releasing Channel Orange digitally on July 10, which puts it a full week before the previously announced July 17 release date, which is still the scheduled time for the physical version.

Following rumours across the web, Billboard confirmed that the album will hit iTunes at the strike of midnight.

If you want to know what you're getting into, our track-by-track breakdown of the album is available here.

Since you'll be staying up to listen to Frank Ocean anyway, you might as well make a night of it and catch his performance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tonight. If you happen to miss that, check back here later for a stream.
