Frank Ocean, Black Keys, Kanye West and Jay-Z Among Grammy Nominations
Last night (December 5), CBS aired its Grammy Nominations Concert Live special, and with it we got the full list of nominations for the 55th Grammy Awards. Two of the more indie-friendly artists popping up on the list were rustic rock crusaders the Black Keys and Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean, each of whom nabbed a total of six nominations.

The Black Keys are in the running for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album, plus a shot at Producer of the Year for frontman Dan Auerbach (a category that also sees Diplo in the running). Other artists vying for Best Rock Album include Jack White, Coldplay, Muse and Bruce Springsteen.

Ocean, on the other hand, was nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album for his solo work, along with Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video for his Watch the Throne appearance on "No Church in the Wild" with Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The Best Alternative Music Album category includes nominations for Fiona Apple, Björk, M83, Gotye and Tom Waits. The Best Rap Album fight is being duked out by Drake, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, the Roots, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz.

There are also plenty of Exclaim!-approved artists vying for Best Recording Packaging, with Björk, Dirty Projectors, Alabama Shakes, St. Vincent and David Byrne, and Aimee Mann in the running.
