Fran Drescher Has Approached Cardi B About a Possible Reboot of 'The Nanny'

It's undeniably fun to complain about reboots, but sometimes a potential opportunity presents itself, and then we can't stop thinking about it. Take, for example, the possibility of Cardi B starring in a reboot of the hit sitcom The Nanny.

In addition to possessing a similar vocal range as one Fran Drescher, Cardi has proven her comedic prowess again and again, most recently in Hustlers. And the possibility of the reboot has at least been presented to the rapper.

Fran herself said she's spoken to Cardi's about the possibility of bringing back the hit sitcom.

According to ET, Fran said, "That was just kind of laying out groundwork.... I do think she's great, and she would be kinda like my top choice, if she's disciplined to do this show every week. It can be a grind, but she's got a baby now and it could be a very comfortable, lovely way to, you know, work, be seen worldwide, and still do mini-concert tours when you're on hiatus."

The Nanny originally aired from 1993 to 1999, though so far there appear to be no firm plans for a reboot. So stay tuned.
