Fox News Doubles Down on Red Hot Chili Peppers Hate, Calls Them "Worst Band in the Universe"

The shit-disturbers at Fox News have always had a knack for stirring the pot and drumming up controversy, but few partisan debates have been quite as emotional as the question of whether or not the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a good band.

Earlier this week, The Five host Greg Gutfeld caused a major rift in alternative music fandom when he said that the Red Hot Chili Peppers are the "worst band on the planet." The statement caused mania among music fans, launching something of a civil war on our Facebook page

As if to twist the knife deeper into our RHCP-tatted torsos, Gutfeld has now doubled down on his hatred of the oft-naked funk rockers.

"Two days ago I said that Red Hot Chili Peppers were the worst band on the planet," Gutfeld said. "I received a lot of flack from fans all over the world. What I meant to say is the Red Hot Chili Peppers is the worst band in the universe. I'd like to apologize for that confusion."

He added that his hatred of the Peps is fuelled by his love of Faith No More. "I want to explain that we live in a binary universe," he said. "You're either a Faith No More fan, or a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan. You cannot love Mike Patton and Anthony Kiedis, because they are two different people. You have to love Mike Patton, you cannot love Anthony Kiedis. So that is why the Red Hot Chili Peppers are the worst band in the universe, because Faith No More is the greatest band in the universe."
